teen female vocal group, By
Chanz, has
recently added new members including:

Jaclyn
Hamlin, 15, a sophomore at Broad Run High School who sings, acts, and who has
recorded professionally in Asia. Jaclyn’s
favorite vocalist is Mariah Carey. Her other influences include Christina Aguilera, Faith Evans,
and Shania Twain. Jaclyn has been a
member of the Loudoun County “All County” and “All District” choruses.

Vanessa
Vosteen, 14, a freshman at Loudoun Valley High, enjoys singing and acting.
She recently starred in the Growing Stage (a local theatre troupe)
productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream
and The Who’s Tommy.
Vanessa’s favorite singer is also Mariah Carey.
Her other influences include Destiny’s Child, Sarah McLaughlin, and
Sheryl Crow.

Sarah
Luhrs, 14, a freshman at Broad Run High School, is a vocalist and a musician.
Sarah has played the piano for seven years and has been a member of the
Loudoun County “All County” and “All District” choruses.
Sarah’s musical influences also include Mariah Carey and Destiny’s
Child.

Lauren
Smallwood, 13, a freshman at J.L. Simpson Middle School, has sung in her school
chorus and church choir for the last three years. Lauren has a goal to become the youngest white female rap
artist ever. Her musical influences
are Britney Spears, TLC, and Eminem.
The new members join veteran By Chanz
founding member, Kelley Hagood, a senior at Broad Run High School and the
group’s songwriter. Hagood
recently penned two new love songs, Beat
of Your Heart and I
Can’t Breathe, which the group will record and release in the summer
of 2001. By Chanz sings pop music laced with a tinge of R&B.
By Chanz will be performing at The
Planet Club, a local teen nightclub on December 8-9, 2000.
The Planet Club is located at 4600 Brookfield Corporate Drive in
Chantilly, VA near the intersection of Route 28 (Sully Road) and Willard Road.
After
the show, By Chanz will autograph
free publicity pictures for any teen that tells The Planet Club doorman that
they came to see By Chanz perform.
