Teen Female Vocal Group Records First Song About Lacrosse
By Chanz, a new teen female vocal group, has been featured on the two of the web’s top lacrosse sites AlllacrosseAmerica.com and E-Lacrosse.com.
AlllacrosseAmerica.com,
which provides new lacrosse stories daily, interviewed the members of By
Chanz this past summer when they performed at the Northern Virginia Youth
Lacrosse League (NVYLL) end-of-season tournament.
This prominent lacrosse one-stop web site featured By
Chanz in one of the stories whose title scrolls across their home page in
July 2000.
E-Lacrosse.com,
the preeminent lacrosse e.zine, recently placed a photograph of By
Chanz on their home page linked to a feature story.
John Weaver, the editor of this e.zine, first learned about By
Chanz in April and told Gordon Boone, the host of the Jons Hopkins Lacrosse
Radio Show on Baltimore’s WJFK, about the group and the first song ever
recorded about lacrosse. Boone was
so excited he played By Chanz’
first single, LAX Girl, on his radio show in May and June 2000.
Then E.Lacrosse.com posted its own feature story about the group in
October. Two weeks later E.Lacrosse
added additional pictures of By Chanz performing live at girl’s lacrosse tournaments and
featured a sound bite of the LAX
Girl on line.
By Chanz just
completed a spring tour of lacrosse tournaments and clinics throughout Maryland
and Virginia where they gave numerous live performances of their first single, LAX
Girl – LAX World, the first song recorded about lacrosse.
They performed the song for nearly 2,000 girls and their coaches and have
received very positive feedback.
